The presentation of the heritage inventory of the municipality of Cazals took place on Friday December 2nd, at 8.30pm, in the village hall (no entry charge). It was organized by the Pays Midi-Quercy, which, in partnership with the Conseil régional de Midi-Pyrénées and the Conseil général de Tarn-et-Garonne, is carrying out the heritage inventory of the area.

Making the heritage of the municipality of Cazals accessible to all

With several months' work behind them, Alexia Aleyrangues and Baptiste Quost, senior researchers at the Heritage Inventory department, gave an introduction into the characteristics and more unusual aspects of Cazals' heritage in the form of a commented visual presentation. This documentary presentation will be put online shortly where it will be accessible to all.

The municipality of Cazals from the Middle Ages to the beginning of the 20th century.

Alexia Aleyrangues and Baptiste Quost examined Cazals' unique, but largely unknown heritage and history. From the Middle Ages to the beginning of the 20th century, the presentation cast an eye over the architecture of different buildings (château, church, houses, farms) and shed some light on everyday life and work in the village over the course of the centuries. Shared characteristics and local idiosyncracies were highlighted, contributing towards a better understanding of this preserved heritage.

The presentation was followed by an informal discussion and refreshments provided by the municipality.
